Casa de Gabriela es un proyecto que busca encontrar el equilibrio perfecto entre la conservación de patrimonio arquitectónico y la adaptación de exigencias modernas de vida. Situada en la serranía de Huelva, esta vivienda se somete a una cuidadosa reforma guiada por tres estrategias proyectuales, respetando completamente su historia, así como sus necesidades actuales.
Una de las decisiones clave del proyecto fue conservar el pavimento interior de baldosas hidráulicas, este elemento no solo añade valor estético, sino que también actúa como un vestigio tangible histórico de la vivienda, manteniendo con vida la memoria del lugar.
A su vez, se realizaron demoliciones específicas en los muros de tierra compactada para la apertura de vanos estratégicos, permitiendo introducir luminosidad y mejorar la conexión con los patios, sin comprometer la integridad estructural del edificio y asegurando la mínima intervención de proyecto.
Del mismo modo, para aumentar la jerarquía espacial y crear una sensación de amplitud, se propuso la demolición parcial del forjado del salón, permitiendo realzar la experiencia del usuario dentro del espacio habitable y generando un ambiente más abierto, integral y acogedor.
La incorporación de mobiliarios específicos fue fundamental en la reforma de Casa de Gabriela, haciendo de cada pieza un diseño y desarrollo que aporten funcionalidad y estética al espacio interior. Entre los elementos singulares se incluyen, muebles para el almacenamiento que optimizan el uso del espacio, divisiones funcionales que admiten mayor flexibilidad, soluciones versátiles que ofrecen la posibilidad de transformar el espacio según las necesidades del momento, así como una escalera integrada con baño incorporado que resuelve el acceso al segundo nivel, aportando funcionalidad y maximización del espacio.
De esta manera, la reforma de Casa de Gabriela logra preservar la esencia de la vivienda original mientras introduce nuevos elementos contemporáneos que mejoran la habitabilidad y funcionalidad del espacio, consiguiendo un equilibrio armonioso entre conservación y renovación, respetando su pasado y preparándola para el futuro.
Casa de Gabriela is a project that seeks to find the perfect balance between preserving architectural heritage and adapting to modern living needs. Located in the mountains of Huelva, this house is undergoing a careful renovation guided by three design strategies that fully respect its history as well as its current needs.
One of the key decisions of the project was to preserve the interior hydraulic tile flooring, which not only adds aesthetic value, but also acts as a tangible historical vestige of the house, keeping the memory of the place alive.
At the same time, specific demolitions were carried out on the compacted earth walls to create strategic openings that allow the introduction of light and improve the connection to the patios, without compromising the structural integrity of the building and ensuring minimal intervention in the project.
Likewise, in order to increase the spatial hierarchy and create a sense of spaciousness, we proposed the partial demolition of the living room floor, allowing to improve the user experience within the living space and creating a more open, integral and welcoming environment.
The incorporation of specific furniture was fundamental in the renovation of Casa de Gabriela, making each piece a design and development that brings functionality and aesthetics to the interior space. Unique elements include storage units that optimize the use of space, functional divisions that allow greater flexibility, versatile solutions that offer the possibility of transforming the space according to the needs of the moment, as well as an integrated staircase with a built-in bathroom that resolves the access to the second level, providing functionality and maximizing space.
In this way, the renovation of Casa de Gabriela succeeds in preserving the essence of the original house while introducing new contemporary elements that enhance the livability and functionality of the space, achieving a harmonious balance between conservation and renovation, respecting its past and preparing it for the future.
